Explore Casablanca Moroccan Sahara desert tour 4 nights 5 days, starting from Casablanca to Merzouga desert via Fes. You will have an adventure of another kind, visiting the Moroccan traditional places, and discover the Berber lifestyle. Moreover, you will experience camel treks, sleeping in nomadic tents, fire camps and still more.
This trip starts in the morning, your driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Casablanca and drive to Fes. First, we will pass by Rabat the capital of Morocco, we may take a walk in Hassan tower to enjoy the beautiful view of the sea from the mosque. To illustrate, we can go to Fes by taking the highway or the national road. Your next stop will be Meknes, which is well known for its Moorish Spanish style. Moving to Moulay Idriss﹙the holy city, unfortunately, it is forbidden for non-Muslims to enter it, but just a tour from the outside is worthy to try. Then, Volubilis, which is the UNESCO world heritage site. In the first place, the place contains the Roman ruins which backdate to the 3rd century BC. Finally, we will arrive at the spiritual city of Morocco Fes, your driver will transfer you to your riad or hotel, where you can have lunch and relax. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the city. Overnight will be in Fes.
Next morning, after breakfast, we will depart to Merzouga desert. First, we will pass by the Middle Atlas small cities. Your first stop will be in Immouzer, an alluring village, which is known for its apple festival. Then, we will move to Ifrane, Morocco’s little Switzerland, which renowned for its lion stone landmark, and the French style. Continuing our journey, to stop at the Cedar Forest near Azrou, which is the biggest wood in Morocco. In addition, it is the residence of Barbarian Apes. We will stop to glimpse the life and enjoy the beauty of nature. While we are traveling through the Atlas mountains, we will make some stops to enjoy the panoramic views. Then, we will drive to Midelt, where we can take a break and have lunch. Passing by Erfoud ﹙the fossils city﹚, and Rissani. Finally, we will arrive in Merzouga village where you will spend the night in one of the traditional Riads.
Next Morning, you should wake up a little bit early to have a camel trek into the desert enjoy the gold seas of sand, and the magical sunrise. Then, we will trek back to Merzouga for a delicious breakfast and shower, before heading to Ouarzazate. After breakfast, we will start our trip to Ouarzazate. First, we will stop at Tinghir, which has extreme attractive oases and stretched palm trees for 30 miles. In the first place, you will discover the Kasbah of the surroundings. Then, we will continue to Boumalne Dades, which will amaze you by its panoramic views. Finally, we will continue to Ouarzazate, passing by the side of the Berber village, and discovering their way of life. We will arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon, where you will be transferred to your Riad where you will spend the night. After lunch, you can visit the film studios and stroll in the city.
After breakfast, we will leave to Marrakech. In the first place, you will be stunned by the numerous kasbahs that lay on the side of the road. You will continue until you reach the largest Kasbah, which is UNESCO’S world heritage site. Plus, in Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah many famous movies were filmed, like, “The Gladiator”. Finally, we will continue through the High Atlas mountains, passing through the largest pass known as Tizi-n-Tichka. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Marrakech, in which your driver will drop you off at your hotel or riad to spend the night.
